This one literally took four years to complete. I started it one year on vacation, got about halfway through on the second year, and eventually finished it in the fourth year. It started as a pencil drawing but in the end I decided it really needed the drama of black ink to make all the details come out. The Recreation Hall at the Elwell Lakes Lodge was built in 1920 and features creaky wooden floors, a huge stone fireplace, and antique furniture. It and the Lodge’s dining hall are about the best example of rustic mountain architecture anywhere.
